CARBON FILTRATION FOR CHLORINE OR CHLORAMINE REDUCTION
The 10″ Big Blue Filter Housing contains the 25 Micron Sediment Filter, which reduces dirt, sediment, and other debris from the water to prepare it for advanced filtration and disinfection.
Chlorine and Chloramine have been used to disinfect drinking water for years. They have been successful in protecting populations from many waterborne illnesses and viruses, however they can lead to the presence of harmful disinfection by-products and bad taste and odors in your water.
Choose between our Granular Catalytic Carbon Upflow Filter for chloramines and our Granular Activated Carbon Upflow Filter for chlorine, which have been modified for the reduction of these disinfectants as well as other potentially harmful chemicals.
- ► Tank media has been NSF Certified for potable water
- ► No wastewater, moving parts, or electricity
- ► Reduces chloramine or chlorine
- ► Reduces bad tastes and odors
If you’re not sure which form of disinfection you need, we recommend selecting chloramine reduction, as it will work with chlorine as well, or contact our Water Specialists for assistance.
Note: Your system’s installation will be determined by your home or facility’s plumbing structure. If you have any questions or concerns about the installation of your new system, please contact us.
