This 1 gallon beehive shaped glass jar is used for safe storage of drinking water, as well as tea, juices, milk and other food and dairy storage applications. Most nutritionists recommend drinking water containers comprised of either glass or stainless steel for storing and consuming drinking water.
Simple reasons why glass is a better choice over plastic containers (PET, Nalgene, Lexan, HDPE):
