Compatible with Alpine Spa pools that have UV sanitation.
UltraClear U.V bulbs harness the power of UV-C light to sterilise your spa pool water by deactivating the DNA of bacteria, viruses and parasites. Compatible with UltraClear™ Systems and Alpine Spa U.V systems, these bulbs have a lifespan of 12 months and are an easy user replacement item.
Replacing the bulb regularly ensures your water is being sterilised at it’s maximum potential, along with reducing the amount of chlorine required to treat your spa pool.
The UltraClear™ replacement bulb is 30cm long, not including the 4 pins.
How does U.V Sanitation work in a spa pool?
UV sanitation operates through the utilization of ultraviolet (UV) light within a wavelength range of 200 to 280 nanometers. This particular spectrum, referred to as UV-C, proves highly efficient in disinfecting and eliminating microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.
Added to the circulation line, water passes through the U.V chamber and is exposed to UV-C light which destroys 99% of harmful organisms by deactivating the RNA and DNA of bacteria, viruses and parasites.
